Oak Cliff  

Oak Cliff has surged in popularity in the last few years. Located on the west and south sides of the Trinity River, Oak Cliff was originally an independent city and merged into Dallas well over 100 years ago. If you haven't noticed, most of Dallas is topographically flat.  Oak Cliff is the exception with dramatic rolling hills.

Stevens Park and Kessler Park are the premiere neighborhoods in Oak Cliff. Originally laid out in the 1920's by nationally known land planner George Kessler, the area is unlike any other in Dallas with its hills, creeks and spectacular settings. West of Sylvan is the older part of Kessler; East Kessler is just east of Sylvan.  Many ranch and mid-century modern homes occupy the same hilly terrain in East Kessler.
